Today is the real anniversary of the 1916 Rising

    This is the actual 90th anniversary. Wonder will any politicians be laying wreaths/shooting their mouths off?

    I'd say Bertie & Co. have put away the green flag until next year at least.

    Just gets my goat a bit that an event which occurred on a specific date, which happened to be Easter Monday that year, gets commemorated on Easter Monday instead of the real anniversary date - today!

    They could at least have had their parade yesterday, which would have been pretty close.

    Fianna Fail (Bertie etc..,) held their annual 1916 commemoration in Arbour Hill Cemetery yesterday. Lillies etc.., were laided.
