Problem with aoe2 and aoe2-conquerers

    Problem 1 - I cant seem to play aoe2 online. I can get the gamerooms up but when i try join a game it tells me aoe2 is not installed on ur pc or something? any ideas? I tried msn help on the site but to no avail.

    Problem 2 - I have aoe2 the conquerers but when i try to install it stops at graphics.drs and wont continue. Any ideas? I've tried googling it but came up with nothing?

    Have you patched the game up to the current version. Im not sure exactly what this is at the moment. It used to be 2.0a or something . If you are not up to date with patches you cant play on game zone. Im not sure about the other problem though. maybe the disk is scratched?

    Yeah i've got up to 2.0a, i searched for a more recent but couldn't find any so i presume that is the latest

    Yes the conquerers is fairly scratched alright but i think it's a common problem with the graphics.drs file being corrupt or something?

    I'm not really bothered about the conquerers though aslong as i can get aof fixed to play on msn.

    Aof works fine in single player and everything it's just msn is telling me it ain't installed.

    I've had this problem with aoe2 online as well, could never get it to work, even though it was perfect over the LAN. Tried everything from upgrading my firewall, opening various ports blah blah blah, nothing worked :confused: AOM works fine online, but thats on a different site. Aoe3 is a great game - haven't tried it online yet, its quite different from previous aoes but very enjoyable too - all in all though, I think I prefer aoe2.

    There was a few player made patchs for AoE2, maybe try installing them, the conquerers is up to 1.0e, dunno what AoK is up to though.
