Do you do original stuff or covers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 263 ✭✭fitzgese

We'll probably do some covers to get started, but eventually plan to write original material

I usually play keyboards but have been thinking about vocals.........

Where do you jam? Have you PA etc etc?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 263 ✭✭fitzgese

At the moment, we're both staying in Trinity Hall near Rathmines, there's a music room here we use for jamming, it has a P.A and some amps etc., The sound quality in the room isn't great though it's not the worst place to jam.

We're 19 and 18. Well, we've only really started to get material for the band together recently, we didn't want to decide on a definite setlist until we got a few more members of the band together, but at the moment we can play "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Sweet Child O'Mine", "Californication","Whiskey In The Jar" and lots of other bits and pieces.

Cool tunes!!! But as I'm 36 I think I might look a wee bit out of place!!!

All right, still it's good to see someone's interested. Thanks.

No probs - best of luck - I hope it all works out for you guys. I'll stick to my keyboards for the moment!

I'm a singer and guitarist, and Trinity Halls is kinda just down the road, so I'd be up for a jam.

Guitardeddudett, we're interested. Maybe we could here you playing sometime. I know it might be a bit of a problem to transport drums, but we'll sort something out. We're a bit busy at the moment with college, so we'll get back to you soon, probably next week.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, Tripper. Yeah, at the moment I have to finish college (there's 2 weeks + exams left), and was planning to start serious practice for the band then. But if you're looking for guys totally dedicated, who put the band before everything else, then I dunno if we're what you're looking for. But yeah, we definitely should jam.

Hi, is it a drumkit where you guys play?I'm 22yr and I've been playing drums for about 5 years now, I usely play guitar, but I've kind a missed being a drummer. I moved from norway a month ago, I had a kit back there. So I was kinda hoping that there was a kit where you play. Maybe we could jam together one day, just to see how we would sound like... cheers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 263 ✭✭fitzgese

Yeah, we've got a drum kit here but the sound quality in the room is fairly bad (the practice room is a converted squash court). You're welcome to jam with us.

great! Where in Dublin are you guys located? I have to warn you, I've only been in dublin/ireland for 1 month so my english is a bit ****y compared to yours but as long as my playing is good it doesn't matter does it?:) Well anyway, I'll bring my drumsticks one day. What about a day next week. thursday or something? Just let me. I'm going back to norway on vacation one week from tommorow but i'll be back middle of next week. Cheers

We're in Trinity Hall, Upper Rathmines, Dublin 6. The best way to get there is to take the Luas (Green Line) to Milltown, go back up the road a small bit when you get off, take a right and it should bring you to Temple Road. Then follow Temple Road to the top, and you should see Trinity Hall to the right. If you can make it, would you be up for a jam this Thursday evening? If not, maybe we can jam next week. Don't worry about your English, it seems grand to me. Don't mind the post above, it's only my friend posting some random song lyrics.

Great! I'm in norway now, but next week I'm definitely in. Or did you mean, thata will be thursday the 18th of may? Atleast that's ok by me. let me know. send me a pm and we switch numbers mails and ****

    Cheers man!
