Obviously egg, sausages, rashers, beans, pudding (black and white), toast, hash browns and a cuppa tea or coffee (depending on night before). And tomato sauce. Food like that needs lubrication.

Oh yeah, and you need an egg too!

    Two eggs,
    two sausage,
    two rasher,
    two bacon,
two pudding, one black, one white.
All stacked like a tower on top of each other and rowled up good and tight!

    Sorry folks, I couldn't resist! :D

Back on topic, am I the only one here who doesn't like fried eggs? A fry for me would consist of rashers, sausages, black and white pudding, beans, toast and tea. But no eggs!

I've never really liked eggs to be honest, either fried, boiled, scrambled, whatever. I mean, I'll eat things that have eggs in them like pancakes or french toast or cakes and other baked things and things like that, but I don't like eggs on their own for some reason. Am I strange in that regard? ;):D

As for the subject of having a fry for breakfast, it's very, very rare that I'll have one. The thought of all that grease first thing in the morning just makes me a bit queasy. Can't understand how some people, builders and the like, seem to be able to stomach them every morning. I know I couldn't!

Yeah, I know, I could never understand that bit in the song either. Didn't make much sense to me. But, hey, I was just quoting the song as it was written so blame Pat Shortt, not me, okay! :D

he's catering for the yanks and us..

    mauybe...

or maybe he just really likes rashers...

Yeah, maybe that's it. Remember the episode of 'The Simpsons' where Homer and Lisa were in the sensory deprivation tank-thingies and she started imagining seeing saw a roll in front of her with rashers, Danish bacon, Canadian bacon, Mexican bacon and a veal chop all in the one roll? Might be something along those lines he was thinking of.

Though, come to think of it, would most Americans even know what black and white pudding was?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,117 ✭✭✭Gazza22

Anything but black pudding! That stuff is foul

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,256 ✭✭✭metaoblivia

No we wouldn't! In America pudding is strictly for dessert. :p

My Sunday fry up: biscuits with sausage gravy, grits and scrambled eggs, washed down with a mimosa.

1 fried egg - runny yolk, cripsy white
    2 sausages
    2 rashers
    black and white pudding
hash browns also good, but not a necessity.
    soft fresh white bread

    beans are just gross...

I'm not really into eggs anymore, so I usually just have rashers, sausages, beans, pudding (white), and tomatoes. I don't even put it in bread anymore really! hmmm. Maybe some day I'll go back to those days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,152 ✭✭✭dazberry

Place 1 sausage (cut length wise for better coverage and stability) on one end of real buttered toast.
Mash a piece of white pudding (must be the good stuff) on other end.
Add tomato ketchup on sausage side.
Add runny egg yoke on pudding size.
    Close toast and enjoy :)

... and do it twice - with a glass of milk

    2 sausages
    2 bacon
    white pudding
    fried wheaten bread
    fried soda bread
    mushrooms
    Scrambled egg
big steaming hot mug of tea

    Starving now....

^Stick the bread in the toaster for a few minutes & you have a deal!^

I don't understand how people eat beans with thier breakfast, that just turns it into a dinner :D

Seems I'm not the only one who doesn't like beans with breakfast. ;)

    2 Fried eggs
    2 sausages
    2 rashers
    Hash brown
    Black & White pudding
    Loads of fried mushrooms
    2 slices of toast

That's generally what I'd like. But half the time I'll just cook some eggs and put on some toast. Nyom. I Don't really seem to eat much at breakfast time, so the big breakfast I listed out is a rarity. Fried eggs or scrambled eggs on some toast is usually plenty.

Yes, grilled tomato is nice, if baked beans aren't available! Though I don't like both on the plate at the same time!
