    I have an old Pc which i took out the CDR drive to test out on another pc. I have since put in back into the old PC, but it's not showing up in Windows Explorer. Help....

    Did you change the jumper pin setting to get it to work on the other computer? Are you putting it back on the same ribbon position on the PC? Whats the CD-R model? What position on the ribbon are you putting it on?

    I didn't change any of the jumpers when i changed it to the other pc. It's at the end of the ribbon as it was the first time around.

    It's a Liteon CDR.

    I presume you have ensured that both the IDE ribbon are the power cable are securely fastened?

    Is the CD drive detected in the old PC's bios ?
