Applies to UK only - no option to select Ireland in drop down field

    Sorry, that should have been:

    http://www.carpetright.ie/web_discount.html

I went in via the UK site when i signed up, but prior to going to the voucher page, i had gone to the store locater and looked for stores in Ireland. This redirected me to the Irish site without me noticing, so I didnt realise you needed to be on the Irish site to get the voucher for Ireland!!

Problem is they are rip off merchants.I asked for a price for stairs and landing a while ago on a 30 euro per yard carpet with a 1/2 price sticker attached. The underlay was dearer than the carpet, they charge for each stick (for holding down the carpet) seperatly, they probably charged for the nails also. They wanted 1100 quid in the end, I really wouldn't bother.

Why do you think most people call them carpet SH*TE. (Just like Righ SH*TE Tiles)

They quote a cheap carpet price for cheap carpet, charge FULL whack for all runners, fitting, accessories etc etc.

Try pricing a 100% wool carpet with a decent thread count and you'll suddenly find they are not cheap.

I'd reccomend Allied carpets in robinhood ind estate - the fitters are employees rather than contractors and they give an all in price - they also always seem to have decent deals on wool carpets.

got carpet for the stairs and landing from them last year and they laid it too. Didnt think we were ripped off but then again we werent going to buy the most expensive stuff for where we were putting it.
That said i cant understand how they can constantly have a 60% sale. Surely if they have a never ending 60% sale, they are actually the normal retail prices and they are guilty of false advertising???

Try asking about the "Free measuring" service ....only requires that you have to put down a non-refundable deposit to get them out. Ever other carpet store will measure FOC without a catch!!

False advertising in my book - when I pointed it out to them, they stated that was their policy .... I took my business elsewhere - fvck them..

Ordered carpet at one of their stores in Jan - told it would be in store within 2 weeks which it was.

Arranged fitting day/time - took day off as they could not guarantee arrival time of fitter. Fitter arrived with carpet. We ordered a 5m roll - a 4m roll was delivered. Had to cancel fitting and re-order over the phone - was told it would be another 2 weeks.

To cut a long story short the new order was mislaid and we didn't get our carpet for nearly 2 months after paying for it. Attitude of people in shop was that it was not their problem - supplier/distributor/someone else messed up. Had to make many phonecalls and visits to shop to see where the delay was.

Was not offered any further discount on the carpet while we were waiting for it eventhough it had been further reduced.

    Avoid!
