Cheapest Broadband Provider/Setup

    Well lads,

I'm looking to setup broadband at home for my 360. All I plan to run off it is a laptop and my 360. I don't download much so I wouldn't need an ISP with a massive download cap. All I'd really be downloading is a few songs on the net and demos from Live.

Anyway, I just have two questions:

    1. What is the cheapest Broadband ISP? I know Eircom charge 24.99 a month but is there cheaper?
    2. What sort of router setup etc. would I need to run both the laptop and the 360?

Go with ntl's 3mb package. After 3 months you can downgrade to 1mb. Though there are now free upgrades so you'd start at 6mb and downgrade to 3mb after 3 months. Total cost €90 for 6 months of broadband (first 3 months are free). They'll give you a wireless modem when they are installing it. Just tell them you have a laptop and ask can you have a wireless. They done charge a lot of people for them

I've just been told by Eircom that I can't get broadband in my area though. Do I have any alternative to it for high speed internet access? One that's affordable at that by the way.

I don't live in a town so I doubt I can get NTL.

IF theres no broadband enabled exchange in your area then you're only choice is wireless satellite provider. Not too familiar with them but I think thats your only other option. There's always isdn though through your normal phone wire
