Hi. I am looking for some info on relatively obscure tourist attractions in London, outside of the usual London Eye, Westminister, the palaces, ect. In particular I am looking for photography Galleries and design exhibitions. I'll be staying in the Kensington area.

Has anyone come across any good exhibitions in that area?

    Thanks

You are probably aware of The Design Museum already. It's small but it puts on very focused and thorough exhibitions.

And the V&A is featuring Modernism at the moment, of course. I'd love to see that, though the V&A is worth seeing at any time, and it's right on your doorstep in Kensington.

Its very touristy, but have you been to Madame-Tussauds? They always have new stuff going on.

You'll be in spitting distance of the V&A and Natural History Museum, avoid the latter. Our own natural history museum here in Dublin is much better and about 10th of the size.

If you're staying in Jurys in Kensington make sure you ask for a room with air-con.

Yep I second Camden, the market is great and the town has all sorts of weird, wacky and wonderful people :)

you should head to brick lane, in the east end, some good bars and food.
