Yup you guessed it, that time of the year again. Shameless ego-boosting showing off for all.

Many of us have posted in one of these threads last year, and the year before so, how has your rig grown/shrunk over the last 12 months?

This time last year, I was playing:

Ibanez rg370dx
EHX small stone,
Digitech whammy iv,
fender pedal tuner,
boss ds1
dano eq
volume pedal,
wah
and a Line 6 echo park.
Marshall MG100dfx

Now, I've cut back majorly, I'm using Gibson SG special modded with SD's grovers, new electronics, coil taps, killswitch into my ENGL thunder 50 with a vox tonelab controlled by a FCB1010 in the loop.

I know my sound is a load better, not just by ditching the MG, but by taking a load of pedals out of my signal chain.

BTW Fey I was gonna add this to the 05 thread but i couldnt find it, only 6 pages of instruments since Mar 2006 are viewable. Anyway I think a new year warrants a new thread.

Pretty much the same as last year except I sold my beloved Ric and have ordered a custom 5 string Jazz from the very, very good folks at www.hotwire-bass.de

Ash body with emerald green translucent matt finish, birdseye maple neck, ebony fretboard with no face dots, Q-tuner pickups and Noll 3 band preamp with active bypass and passive tone.

Won't have pics until August, mind

I think I'm still playing the same gear... Les Paul standard through an old Marshall G30RCD. Warwick Streamer through an Ashdown After Eight fifteen watt combo. Need new amps, so why am I looking for a custom guitar?! E-mailed teh music zoo though, if anyone's interested. They're going to talk to Jackson and get me a quote. Giggidy!

Now I'm playing the LTD, Ibanez SZ520 and a LTD H207 through a 50W all tube Randall combo.

Absolutely love it. I spent so long looking for a wah that was really warm and extreme enough( not mad just with a good spectrum). THis is spring aswell so you just put your foot on it and it kicks in. Has volume boost with control for the spectrum and volume. Absolutely top class. THe 535 is kinda the same but has more modes( i wasnt impressed )

Well I might look into getting a wah once I get the amp situation sorted. New amp is the priority atm.

it's been played a lot, has new frets, finish is flaking off.

early 1960s dutch build as far as i know.

plays and feels like it's falling to pieces, but it sounds so good it isn't funny. It's loud and bright and is the best sounding acoustic I've ever played.

i have a taste for cheap guitars though so i'm very fond of it. It needed a fair bit of setup work when i got it, it was just about unplayable...but it plays the way i like my guitars - high action, really chunky neck...

This time last year I was playing a PRS Santana Se throught a Marshall MG50 DFX.

These days I'm still playing the Santana because it's a great guitar really, but it's generally my back up for gigs as I now have an Epiphone Sheraton.
I dumped the Marshall for a Fender Blues Deluxe, such a sweet amp..
