I bought a radio connector for my iPod but its not working out
(i'm talking output of iPod thru car stereo here not picking up radio via iPod..

The frequencies on this gadget only range from 88.1-88.7. Its OK most of the time but RTE1 radio starts to interferes depending on (I guess) weather, location etc. Drives me bananas, it does.

Are there other iPod radio gadgets with a wider range of frequencies? Available in Ireland?

No. They're illegal here. Read the charter (in particular the "Legal Issues" section).
