It looks nice alright, but doesn't get the best reviews re:image sharpness on dpreview.
    Haven't checked other sites.

However, it does seem like a good bargain.

I've been doing loads of searching, this is one of the ones I'm thinking of getting, see Photography forum...

Plenty of good reviews for it, plenty of 'mixed'... still may nab it.

Just another 'bargain' I spotted while searching around, not interested in this one myself but saw it for an amazing price

    Kodak EasyShare One...

    for 299 + delivery

    353 on pixmania

and I've seen it a lot deaer other places

Another website for reasonable prices is:

Oh and for the memory card see my bargain alert thread below about xD picture card prices.
    Also
I personally am leaning towards (in the last day) gettings the Finepix F10. Works out at 230odd euro delivered from Ebay. At a range of prices online but that's the cheapest all-in delivered cost I've seen. And it's gotten amazing reviews.

I have a Z1 and would fully recommend it. Great for nights out etc. Really compact and high functionality. Very good price too.

Its selling in Dixons at the moment for €249 and has been for the past couple of months. €193 is definitely the lowest ive come across though. Good Spot :)

I've been interested in buying a digital camera for ages, but I know feck all about them. I'm just wondering which of the 2 cameras I should buy (or if someone could explain the pros and cons of each one that'd be great). Anyway, it's between the one in this thread, or the Samsung Digimax A7 7MP Digital Camera, mentioned in another thread (Link: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054920711).

I'm looking for camera that's easy to use, can store a good few pictures and has decent picture quality. So maybe the ones mentioned in these threads are too advanced for a technophobe like me? If anyone could give me advice on this I'd really appreciate it! Cheers.

I have a Z1, and I reckon that's an excellent price for it. Ideal if you're not keen on spending a fortune on a camera.

However, it's true that some of the pictures it takes aren't great. We got ours as a replacement for another Fujifilm digital camera that's now discontinued. Some of the Z1's features are better (it's more compact, the videos are bigger), but the pictures aren't near as good.

If I was to do it again, I'd go for a different slim design camera altogether (the slim sony one might be worth trying).

Any chance of posting up a few examples of the kinda pics the Z1 takes?
