Mrs_C wants her cooker close to the window( not directly under aprrox 2 standard units away) but the guy in the kichen design shop says no because of fire hazard. We will have window blinds in kitchen no curtains Is there a minimum distance that should be left in kitchen between cooker and windows ?

I'd have thought you can put it where you want. Surely there's no regulations regarding kitchen layout.

    Hi Mike_C,

If there is such a regulation I know a whole housing estate in Dunboyne that is breech of the regulations.

The layout is window, sink unit then cooker etc
