    "I just finished a new record. A power trio with trumpet and 100 voices," the Toronto-born, Winnipeg-raised music legend writes in a moving ticker on his website.

    "I think it is a metal version of Phil Ochs and Bob Dylan. Metal folk protest?"

    Metal folk protest? WTF?

    Sounds intriguing. According to the interview it should be available quite soon.

    It's not with crazy horse, it's with people he recorded 'Freedom' with, like rick rosas and chad cromwell. This album has the potential to be a bit lyrically ham-fisted, hrmmm ...

    So far, songs 3 (The Restless Consumer) and 6 (Flags of Freedom) stand out the most.

    Sond 7 (Lets Impeach the President) is a bit hamfisted.
