Alright I use WPA-PSK on my netgear wireless router, have my network named to something other than default, name broadcast switched to Off, and have my laptop and the HTPC on the router's Allowed List.

So why is it when I open the wireless utility in my laptop and go to Choose a wireless network, my SSID shows up and is also showing as an Unsecured computer-to-computer network?
I've checked my router, put in my key again, rebooted both it and the laptop and it still comes back as such.
Is it that the actual connection between my laptop and the router is unsecured or that any idiot within range (of which there are a few since I counted 2 other unsecured NWs as well) can steal my internet?

I'm thoroughly confused and overly paranoid...put my mind at ease, please.
As always, any help is much appreciated.

    It's probably cached...?
"Wireless utility" = proprietary software or Window Wireless Zero Config? (If it is WZC- remove from Preferred Networks)
    steal my internet
    I'll steal yore Internet!

    Yeah but cached from when?
The router's been set up like this for weeks since I got it back from netgear, all security stuff was 2nd thing I did when I got it out of the box...first time in a while the laptops even been out of it's bag, to connect to the network.

Wireless utility means the windows default connection icon not the UI for the actual intel wireless card.
