    36nl

On the sb, villain (Big blind) is a big winner but prone to overaggression and too many big bluffs. I dont think he is bluffing here, we tend to stay out of each others way. He would recognise me as a good player/winner, and we have very little history together despte being at the same tables a lot. I have 450 and he has nearly 2k.

Its folded to me on the sb, I complete with J5clubs. BB Chks. The flop is 56J with 2 hearts. I bet 12. He makes it 30 more. I make it 100 more. He pushes. Its 339 for me to call, call or fold.

I think you can rule out JJ, 55, 66 because he raises them preflop because they are hard to play postflop without a set.
78h, 34h are also possibles. I think he raises 78s PF and also possibly 34s.

All that beats you now is J6, and you can't fold to an over-aggro player on the basis that he could have one likely hand that beats you.

    easy call.

Its not an easy call anyway. This is a WINNING Player, there is almost no chance he has a one pair hand here. No good player is happy putting in 75bbs on the flop with 1 pair. He is folding AJ to my 3 bet unless he is tilting. I think he is always raising JJ but maybe not 55 or 66. If he has a draw its a good one, like 2 overcards/flush draw or st8/flush draw.

there is a possiblity of an overpair like AA or KK and he maybe tried to slow play and got in trouble. i know you say he's a winning player but its a possibility that shouldn't be ruled out.

i'd be surprised if he's drawing so it comes down to the overpair or a set. I'm a calling station so I'd call but there is a very strong case to fold and its probably the right thing to do.

Sounds like he has a big draw or a big hand, so normally you fold because you are coinflipping or crushed. But here I think you should call because it is much more likely he has a big draw (whatever it is, pair+flush draw or 7h9h, whatever he needs). Even though you say you're not sure if he raises 66 preflop every time, if he even raises it 1/2 of the time it makes it that much less likely he has a set. Plus you are getting 2-1 or so. So I call.

What were the suits on the flop?

If the flop was 5h6hJx then I could see him doing it with KhJh or similar.

its possible he also caught two pair 5,6. I think your ahead here and call.

Even if the flop was 5h6xJh, would he not maybe make the same move with A6h or K6h?

Call and hope you're a slight favourite.

So explain to me why you 3-bet ...

Ok fuzzy! I was actually the villain in the BB and had J6. When he made it 100 more I didnt like pushing all in, because I thought he was folding almost anything I beat. I actually thought I was overrepresenting my hand, but given the draw heavy nature of the board I didnt have much choice. I think his call is pretty bad, he can beat 56o or be a coinflip with a draw. Ill have a set here the rest of the time. Im probably folding 56o to his 100. Agaisnt any draw I might have he is probably 50 50 (kjs is a small fav).
