Personally I feel that this is c.untish behaviour. Fair enough, we can rant all day about how people are making money out of selling these tickets at inflated prices on EBay. However, its a question of supply and demand.

If I was minted and REALLY wanted to go to the game I would pay extra. I'm not, so I don't.

Rigging the auctions is childish, costs people money and essentially makes true bidders pay more. The seller would simply offer a 2nd chance offer to the next highest bidder, who would pay. Because they want to go and would pay extra.

So Powerhousedan, shame on you. Just because you can't go it dosen't mean that you and your buddys should have a laugh costing other fans more.

By the way, I'm not selling any on EBay before you decide to firebomb my house "for a laugh".

True fans with any shred of intelligence should refuse to perpetuate touting by buying from scum like that - no matter how tempting it is now. If the market dried up - they'd stop touting. The second best thing is to make it more hassle for the scumbag. I have little sympathy for anyone who willingly overpays for a ticket by these means.

I agree. What I'm saying is that its Dan and his buddies are costing people more money by inflating the prices. Ultimatly costs people more cash. The "hassle" factor is the EBayer having to make an immediate "second chance offer" to the next highest bidder.

Its pointless trying to stop people from selling tickets online. Supply and demand.

Keep up the good work Dan, anyone who pays above the odds would be better off joining a club and supporting local rugby.

Mezcita: though it did suceed in completely ****ing up one guys auction whereby he had to close it and made no money whatsoever - which had me well happy :)

I don't have a ticket and it's killing me that I can't go, but I'd rather not go than pay over the odds to scum who'll take advantage of true fans. At least this way the people who get to experience the match are people who'll appreciate how lucky they are.

You're missing my point. It doesn't matter whether one auction or fifty are messed up using this method. The tickets will be sold for an inflated price eventually.

I dunno, where are these desperate fans for the CL games? If you are silly enough to buy tickets off touts I couldn't care if some well-intentioned messers jacked pu the price.

Touts couldn't care less either. They'll sell for a huge price anyway. And all of this "true fans" lark is bull. Am sure 90% of real fans would practically bite my hand off if I offered them a ticket to the game for twice the price instead of six times.

Its just sour grapes. People are just annoyed that they can't get to the game. Get over it. Watch it in the pub.

People should be allowed to sell what they want on ebay for whatever price they can get. If you feel that the vendor is charging way above what you feel the item is worth, then simply don't buy it.

Maybe, but most of the people paying high prices are people who go to one or two games a year, that is to say, everyone I know who really badly wanted a ticket to this game got it for face value. After all, there is 48,000 tickets, it's not like it's being played in Donnybbrook.

Like I said, if you need to buy online off touts, you'd be better off joinging a club.

I have my Tickets.....If you actually noticed i dont bid high and leave the prices... I end up winning all the Bids so i am not inflating prices get your facts right

What I'm annoyed about is that somebody was lucky enough to get tickets and is using it for financial gain. Anybody who's interested in this match, whether they've tickets or not, knows somebody looking for tickets. It's not like ebay is the only way they can get rid of them.

I don't live in Limerick any more, so I will admit I don't go to every single Munster match but I do go to a majority of them. I spend three weeks at home most Christmases and I fill a LOT of that time hanging out with friends at a match, be it club or Munster, just like I did when I was a teenager. I appreciate the sport at any level, be it schools, club or province; the fact that I can't go to as many matches as I'd like to does not make me feel any less of a fan. And I still won't pay over the odds for a ticket. ;) Go Dan! :p
