    Greetings

I was just wondering if anyone had taken a look at the Beta 2 version of Flex 2.0. I have installed it and have worked through quite a number of tutorials and it is very impressive.

I'm curious to find out opinions on whether someone could make a career out of specialising in Flex development (along with actionscript v3).

    Anyone?

    Hi,
I had a look, I agree it is extremely powerfull.
I also think that you could make a career out of specialising in it. But like everything you nearly need to start with a customer wanting it from you. Anyways it's good to see it cause I develop in JSP and Flex seems to be far more modular and manageable.

The problem is customers who are interested in J2EE usually like standards, and something like FLEX isn't very standard; I also believe that the server is quite expensive.

However, developing an experties in this area certainly can't hurt, although I'd be careful of specializing to the exclusion of other technologies.
