    Folks,
I've started my new website. The beta version is up, with the photo library.
Pop along and have a look please. All C&C welcome and encouraged.
    Some you'll have seen before.

By the way, there's more than one page there too, some people have missed that. There's 4 pages of images.

    Cheers.

I love the one of the Hamster. The way he has his paw on the bar makes the picture.

very nice work sinecurea...why don't you build the gallery into your site? Just a shame that the designs are so different.

    some great shots there foshure.

 No idea what you're talking about! I can't drag anything up.

Eas, yeah I'm eventually going to do that. I'm trying to comprise simplicity with thumbnails. I'm not sure what it's going to turn out like, but this is just a start to get the images up online. I think I'll maybe even just create a seperate website. Who knows? :)

Hey, Great photo's, you have The Eye. Maybe you could answer a question for me ?... Is it possible to post/upload photo's or video straight on to a thread on a forum, rather then having to set up an individual website

    Thanks.

Cheers, I believe it is, just select the "attachment" option - the little paperclip in the post dialogue.
    Home time for me...

Nice and as someone else said you have the eye for it, well done!

The dark grey area on the bottom of the page is a frame but it's properties have it enabled to be resizable in the browser, so it can be dragged up and down, just turn off the resizable option and it'll remain at a height of 28 pixels.

    Thanks folks!
The frame thing - that's strange, the frame has never been dragable for me... hmm I'll have a look at that then. Cheers.

Nice photos... how do you see the thumbnails of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 5,154 ✭✭✭Oriel

There's a link just above the thumbnails or just click on the main image to skip to the next.
The last page is the best methinks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,645 ✭✭✭Shrimp

yeah you can drag it be clicking on the top pixel fo the grey area.

Look, you knob, I asked for criticism on a different thread. If you want to comment on my photographs, then go to that thread and do it there.
As you appear to know little about photography, I'm happy to accept your ignorant views.

Again, don't post your photographs if you can accept the truth they are average at best. I'm not looking down my nose, I'm giving you advice to which you should adhere to if you wish to get along on this forum.

Now play nicely with the other childern.

While I am happy to comment on your site I would prefer not to use the vulgar terms of abuse you have. I find that being polite doesn't hurt.

As I said on another thread I like your photos of the swans and the two landscape shots. I am not keen on the shots of musicians. It could be that they are very good compared to other gig photos but I can't see the difference - they all look much the same to me. Is there not a different way of carrying out the gig shots that would tend to make them jump out at the viewer?

By the way thanks for at least telling me that my photos on the website are average at best. It gives me something to build on.

Since I started posting on this forum I have tried to be polite when discussing other people's work as I understand how sensitive most of us are to criticism so I hope that you receive these comments in the spirit in which they're offered.

 Jeez, I called you a "knob", not a rapist or a babykiller.

Firstly, the photos were taken for promo use for the band, not really to "jump out" at a viewer of my gallery.
Secondly, the lighting was terrible for the gig, so I think I did pretty well, all things considered.
Thirdly, it was my first gig taking photographs at, so I'm pretty happy with the results.

Of course. The difference is, this is the correctly place to give the CC, not when I was commenting on your work.

Another thing joolsveer, when I go out for a shoot, I might take 100-400 photos and then only use a fraction of those. It's not to say that all the others are crap, indeed some are, but less is more. One complaint I had about your gallery is that you have image after image of "ordinary" everyday scenes or objects. Instead of 60 of these, only use 5 then move on to something else.
