I gave someone a computer with Windows 2000 which I accidentally installed German IE6 on which causing some German text in lots of places such as the Printer Setup screen. The person has no internet access and I can't take the PC with me, so I was wondering is it possible to get English IE on their machine some other way?

Cant you uninstall IE ?

If not try installing over it with this version which gives you a standalone english installer.

Failing that try Maxthon which is an IE shell if you really want IE or go install Firefox on the systen.
