totally agree, his songs are terrible & why the f**k do they let him sing at all? looking forward to this gig, really liked the albums,a boy named goo & dizzy up the girl, haven't kept up to date with anything after this.what was there last album like?

    What did people think ?????

I really enjoyed the gig, thought they were excellent and I always like seeing a couple of f**k ups along the way, but I thought the set was way too short - were it a band that only had an album out then 70 mins might be ok, but these boys have a lot of material to pull from..........anyone else think it was too short ?

i remember looking at my watch at around 9:30 and think f**k they've done a fair few songs already, but there was some songs that i though would be obvious ones to include in the set but didnt get played - name being one them.

and totally agree with earlier posts - bass player should be gagged

You are kidding me. I missed them again. My favorite damn band, and thats three damn countries I have lived in where I get told about the concert the next day *cries*

They're doing a Co-Headline tour in USA with Counting Crows this summer, and will only be playing 60-70mins...they probably treated this gig as a warm up...

that makes a little more sense then, it's a pretty short Euro tour - 8 shows, hopefully they'll come back soon, they seemed to really enjoy it.........

Was anybody at the Goo Goo Dolls concert in the Ambassador on May 26th? What did ya think of it?

It was an unbelievable concert. My first time at the Ambassador, I usually go to the Point but the Ambassador is so much better, bst venue in Dublin - no scumbag bouncers either.

Concert was class. I agree with you all when you prefer John Rzeznik's songs (Iris, Slide, Better Days etc.) but keep in mind Robbie was singing when the band started and Rzeznik only sang on a couple of songs back then. He has to sing because there is an audience that like him. He isnt that bad though.

And why the hell didnt they play Name? Its one of their biggest songs...
