Lost season 2 DVD???

My girlfriend and myself have just finished watching the entire season1 on DVD, we'd never seen lost before and every night for the last 2 or 3 weeks weve watched at least 2 episodes per night! Were hooked but now cannot watch any of the season 2 episodes as they're halfway through.

Does anyone have any idea how long it will be before the 1st half of season 2 is released on DVD... until then I cannot even read most of the posts on the forum as they are loaded with spoilers

You will prob be waiting til around october or there abouts. If u have channel 4 i think season 2 is just starting on that either this week or it did last week

EDIT** just seen a ad on channel 4 its starting on may the 2nd

I presume Season 2 Part 1 (DVD) will be released some time in the middle of July. Episode 12 (middle of S2) is scheduled to air in UK on July 11th so it will be released pretty soon after that...

Nah.. it'll be same time as last year - nearing the start of the new season. Late August, early September!

We got Season 1 Part 1 as soon as the first 12 episodes had aired in the UK, who's to say they wont do the same again this time around.

OK, I hear ya!, it may well be August, I was just stating the earliest possible date it could be released (Region 2, that is)...

It has an official UK release. I can't remember exactly, but it's not too late. Mid June I think...

Sorry.. but there's not a chance they'd dare give it a Region 2 release before Channel 4 has aired it!

Well looks like I was fairly close , its seems it is out on July 17th 2006, HMV have it advertised here

wouldnt give a flying fúck about the uk release, theres nothing stopping you importing the us complete lost season 2 as soon as it is released. Buying 2 part season dvd's are a joke anyway.

Exactly.. just to clarify, i meant the Complete R1 Release in my original post which we got early September last year for under €40.

As compared to the €100 they're charging for the same release 7 months later over here.

Don't reckon it was, at all - the complete DVD had already been released in the US, and the online DVD sites (play.com, cdwow etc) were making huge sales from people (like me!) who didnt want to wait or had missed the start of Lost and wanted to catch it without jumping in mid-way through (again, like me!). I think that they saw this and figured they could make more money doing a 2 set over here and nip the interest in the Region 1 set in the bud.

Same thing will happen this time around - the Region 1 will be available well before it finishes in the UK (when is it due to end on RTE? Would have been out on Region 1 before they finished last year if they hadnt started showing two a week). If the OP cant wait for Channel 4 to get around to it they should get onto play.com or cdwow, perfect for those of us with a lack of patience (incidentally, I'm finding this season hard - I watched Season 1 over a few weeks, on DVD, none of this waiting-for-weeks-and-weeks-for-them-to-return-to-a-story-strand....)

i got mine from ebay,when i got them i saw they were hd tv copys.
i was dissapointed bout buying dvd- rs, but bhoy were they good quality.
il be sending them back . not worth 40 euro.
