Photos on memory card are getting corrupted, what's at fault

I'm a Canon EOS-350D user and I'm finding at least once a week that photos on the card become sequentially more corrupt until I need to format the card.

Could the card be faulty? I haven't done anything like pull the memory card out while the camera was writing to it, although I have accessed stored photos while it was doing so. Can this corrupt the photos? Its not a problem now, but I've a trip to Paris coming up and I don't want to worry about photos corrupting while I'm there!

Give it a good clean, if it's still not working, time for a refund methinks.

Theres a program available for fixing corrupt memory cards ,its like a scandisk except especially for memory cards.I'll try and locate it for you

Sometimes certain card readers aren't fully compatible with memory cards and if the card is formatted on the reader it can put bad sectors on the card.

Try and format your card on the camera every week or so to keep it clean.
