Switched to Magnet broadband - outlook not working

I recently switched to Magnet having previously used a dial-up connection. Everything is going great but my Outlook is not working anymore. I had an eircom.net account set up and was able to access my e-mail from outlook on my desktop. Now everytime I try to send a mail I immediately get a 'message undeliverable' reply to my inbox. Anyone on here had this problem? Know how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Me too... don't know how to fix it...... Probably to contact current service provider and take it from there.....

In your Outlook email account settings have you got your Incoming Mail Server (POP3) set to mail1.eircom.net and your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) set to mail.magnet.com or whatever Magnet uses?

No. Both still set as mail2.eircom.net but I don't know what magnet's one is! If I need to change this then I guess my previous e-mail address(ending in eircom.net) is going to be obsolete?

Nope, keep your email address and all the other settings but you need to change your outgoing server to magnets server.

Messages are sent via whoever provides your broadband, and the are received via your email provider. Just one of them things!

ring magnet and ask them the dns name of their outgoing POP3 mail server.
what are the bets they haven't set one up yet??!!!
what is their broadband like anyway? fast? reliable? ****e??

Got sorted. Just in case any others have the same issue the outgoing mail server is:
    smtp.magnet.ie

Can't comment on magnet broadband as opposed to other broadband providers except to say this is the fastest internet connection I've ever seen(compared to non dialup connection speeds at workplaces past and present), also really quick download times. Happy with the service. A few problems setting up but otherwise excellent - so far anyway.
