Just got an email with the above title but then this image:

Was it at the start of the month or is this just a typo?

It's true. It's out a while. Most shops in Dublin city centre have it anyway.

I haven't even gotten that email yet.

I really don't think I can play through Resident Evil 1 yet again anyway. There doesn't seem to be enough new stuff in this to entice me.

My sentiments exactly, I played and completed the original when it first came out and also had a run through of the Gamecube remake, I don't think I could stomach a third helping even though for some reason I'm strangely compelled to buy it... Weird..

I think Capcom put some subilminal messages into the previous games to ensure we want to get new ones even if there remakes (thought the GC one was well worth it by far). I'm gonna wait till i see RE:DS pre-owned, then i'll buy it.

Its the same game except with added feeling-up the characters.

I dont think it really matters that we have played it before cause its not people who where around when the first game came out that matter its the kids who have never played 1 but maby played 4 and want to know more who will buy it and there are allot of them. I like the idea of it cause 1 was a great game and it sure would be nice t oplay it again but again too many other games to play not enough time to revisit a game even as good as this one.

    meh.
even playing through REmake after playing RE4 is a fairly frustrating experience. don't think i'd want to play the same game on such a small screen.
then again, seeing as it's cart based, there must be sweet FA loading times...

I dunno about that now tman, from what I've heard, the DS version of Resi has retained the 'classic' door opening sequences between rooms.. if someone knows different tell me?.

If I remember correctly the door sequences are still there, but now you can skip them if you want.
