    Hi,

Where's good to go in Clare for the May bank holiday?

Preferably near the Cliffs - maybe Doolin?

And can anyone recommend accommodation? Need to rent a house for 6-8 people.

    Thanks

I stayed in Clare during Sept 2004, Alliwee Cave in Ballyvaughan, The Cliffs of Moher, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin :- A quaint fishing village filled with Tourist having the "Craic". Ennis etc. loads of things to do there. One thing I didn't like was I found it nearly impossible to get a good paper in Lindoonvarna, heck I found one shop selling them and all they had was the Clare Champion :D

Mackerel Fishing off the Rocks in the burren is great, I caught 30 Mackerel there one day and proceeded to give them to the locals who were living nearby from the cottage I was staying at. I thought I was mighty for giving them to them. Not bad for a Salmon Hook baited with Tin Foil and A old wheel stud (as the weight) from a local garage for 50 Cents.

The Limerick Riverfest takes place during the may bank holiday weekend. you might consider taking in a day trip to the city over the weekend also

    The site is http://www.limerickriverfest.com.
