has anyone experience of the best systems on the Irish market in terms of map data?

I've seen some really good ones for the UK but their road system is a tad better mapped out than ours!!!!! I'm doing alot of travelling at the minute and would rather a sat nav system than a hand held map

    Opinions please.:)

There's been a few discussions already on this topic , do a search for satnav and you'll find that most people would recommend systems that use navteq based maps.

Yea navteq data is the best for irish road coverage.

Recently got a Garmin C310 from here. Works very well, Dublin coverage is really good and all major national routes too. Although the M50 from Dundrum to M11 and new N11 in Wicklow are missing. However, there is a new map data dvd available which we haven't bought yet.

You can hire devices from that company so you could always get one for a week and try it out.
