    Katie Holmes and fiancé Tom Cruise are
    celebrating the birth of their first
    child, a baby girl.

    The baby, named Suri, was born
    yesterday, weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces.

    Cruise's publicist, Paul Bloch, said in
    a statement that both mother and baby
    were 'doing well'.

    The statement said that the name Suri
    was of Hebrew origin, meaning
    'Princess', or Persian, meaning 'red
    rose'. Details of where the baby was
    born were not released.

    Some Hollywood reporter who was talking to Newstalk 106 this morning, said that Tom actually said those things as a joke, and they were taken as gospel and the rumours spread (presumably because TC is a psychopath, so anything's possible)

    Dunno if he's right or not, but just thought I'd mention it...

    it could be the return of L. Ron Hubbard.
    either way, i pity the child and hope that her parents will soon come to their senses and abandon this ridiculous religion. (not that they aren't all ridiculous. it's just that scientology is based on the writings of a failed sci-fi author).
