I need a standard 14" basic steel wheel rim. They are suprisingly hard to get because neither mechanics nor quickfit do wheels. Anyone have any Ideas?

For what car? If it's a relatively new car that comes with steel wheels as standard but is often fitted with alloys then dealerships & alloy wheel centres may have spare steel rims lying around. In such cases, it's not unknown for them to be given away for free.

thanks lads. Very hard to get for a 01 Fiat Bravo. Called all the dealers but no joy. Called plenty of scrap yards also and managed to find one on the South Circular Road. Sorted.
