DVD ripping software

    Not sure if this is the right forum, mods move if need be....

    I looking for some DVD ripping software what do you suggest or reccommend.

    take your pick dvd shrink dvd decrypter or theres a ton of others that are slightly better but not free. if your stuck let me know ive got pretty much all of them . cheers lad

    Im trying to download DVD shrink, it advises its freeware but each site I go to they're trying to charge me.

    Then you must be getting it from the wrong sites. Try here & here for DVD Shrink, be aware that Shrink is no longer developed so occasional odd ball discs can throw off it's inbuilt CSS decrypter.

    In that case use DVDFab Decrypter to rip the disc to the HD (CSS stripper only not a program that will transcode it to a DVDR).

    DVD Decrypter has also been discontinued but a useful program to have anyway as it works in the majority of cases.

    id get your hands on css region free if your running dvd shrink.
    in case of the odd dodgy dvd 21 or dvd 14 i think they are..

    Dvd decrypt and Dvd Shrink...been using them for years and never a problem. You usually get what you pay for, considering they are free....a bargain at that price!

    id also recomend nero vision 3 with all the little add ons its great for converting a multitude of files or patching up avis to dvd etc.
    or 2 vcd files and what not.
