Recovering previous version of a Word document

    Apologies if this has been asked before or if I'm posting this in the incorrect forum, but I'm in a bit of a pickle.

    I was working on a word document and deleted a lot of the content. I then accidentally saved the file. Is there any way I can recover the previous saved version??

    I know, pretty stupid thing to do, but I really need to get the previous version back.
    Is there a tool out there to do it, or am I 100% guaranteed that the previous version will have been overwritten?

    btw, I think I already know the answer, but am hoping one of you will be able to offer something.
