    don't think this is uncommon. the more expensive the camera, the bigger the difference too. you've got to decide if the 600 euro is worth in inconvinence of warrenty and repair hassle from buying abroad, if that isn't an issue, abroad is the way to go.I hear conns is a bit of a rip anyway.

    Dont forget if you buy from the states you will be liable for import duty and VAT which will eat up most of that difference. They have it on ac-foto.com for €1699 which is still cheaper than conns but no vat or import duty to worry about.

    Berminghams on the quays do it for 1,890. If you're going to buy in Dublin then make sure to mention that to Conns. I'd imagine they'll match it. Conns charge 25 euro for a sensor clean as far as I remember. It's on their website anyway.

    Gunn's charge just €1715, they have a waiting list though. Ireland is supplied from UK who are supplied from Japan whereas the US deals directly with Japan.

    irish wholesale prices are higher than US retail prices, it's not the irish retailers fault in this case
