    Hi Folks

I have two panasonic tu-dsb40 recievers with exactly the same problem. Certain channels such as Sky News and UTV show the message "There is a technical fault with this channel, please try later" while others such as BBC 1 and BBC 2 are fine. Has anybody come across this before?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

A card keys or codes fault, maybe an incomplete code or missed an update , it will reset later so leave them on until the problem clears after the next key or code update.

No keys / card needed for UTV or Sky news.

May be faulty LNB, faulty tuner module or dish slightly out of alignment.

Are both boxes connected by a quad lnb.
Try this, Take out the cards switch both boxes to standby for few minutes switch back check epg software it should read 3.4.4b if not do a software update. If that fails then its very possible that your quad is at fault.

actually lads they are both connected to a quad lnb. I'm going to take the boxes to a friends house and try them out. Maybe this might throw new light on the problem...

Maybe this might throw new light on the problem...One thing I had suspected was that it was recognisining horzontal channels and not vertical (or vice versa) . If this was the case would this be a tuner fault?

Some Panny boxes had been fussy about what LNB's they used.
