    Right, decided to take the plunge after moaning about technology taking away from the "fun" of rumaging around the old cd collection. Currently cd collection is in rag-order and I give up....so my music collection NEEDS YOU!!yes, YOU!! to save it for impending doom, death, and dire attacks from a frustrated irrate owner...

    What I want is something that's
    *austere-I do not need a pink shiny mp3 player, I do not need a color screen, if there is one fine, but not needed, and something where I can just preferably click and drag songs into it magically&easily
    * 30-60gb
    * got-preferably-a radio option, but again not essential
    *not an ipod
    *not sony I've a netmd from back in the day, and I love it to bits, however, their software is a nightmare and takes forever to do anything with-grrr*shakes fist at netmd* (unless some genius can suggest an alternative to sonicstage that'll enable me to use my netmd efficiently...?)...wishful thinking I guess, but hey!
    * relativly inexpensive :rolleyes:

    I like the look of the Archos products, however they only go up to 20gb....would it be worth my while getting something like their multimedia thingy when I'd only be using it for music...? or would something like the Cowon iAudio range be a better bet...?

    Thanks!Advice greatly appreciated!

    Or any other ideas out there?

    *remember-no to ipod, no to sony*

    I'm a woman, it's my perogative to be difficult and picky :)
