Want to buy a new camera - a digital compact. I've always had Canons and love them, so now want to buy the Ixus 65.

    Review here: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0602/06022109canonsd600.asp

    Anyone got any advice?

Nice big screen, good ISO range etc etc.

    Go for it!

I know. So is the rest of the IXUS range and many of them have optical viewfinders. Would be an issue for me. May not be an issue for others.

Personally, if a camera were that small, and the screen that big, I wouldn't use a viewfinder! Infact, any of my film P&S cameras never get their viewfinders used!

Exactly. The Ixus 60 has only a 2.5" screen, and it has a viewfinder. I have an Ixus II now with a 1.5" screen and still never use the viewfinder.

I like small camers cause you can bring them out with you all the time and not have to worry about them. These things are smaller than a pack of cigarettes. You can just put it in your back pocket and off you go. With some of the largerr camers you have to hae them in a bag or somehting.
