Looking for people with varied interests to play/record music in swords. The current outfit, of approx 2 members has been playing together for about a year, music tends to follow kinda blues/rock formula. I'm not the lead singer... but some of my music is on my site...http://www.eoinarts.com/d_fla_a1.htm, heh, flash cartoon.

So we defo have a guiatrist/vocalist and I play bass... in a kinda wannabe Victor Wuton class. We've both been playing for about 10 years, play by ear... don't like the hassel of planning too much premeditated music. We are kinda unorganized but would be playing at least once a week, wednesday night... We're looking into buying recording equipment (breakout box and a mic or two) but are really interested in pooling resources, hence the post. Same time might as well probe, as if we are gonna gig we will need a drummer at some point (or we could mic the bongo... whatever) and if anyone else is in the area... has some good ideas... well, I'd love to hear them.

    questions i can anticipate
    a) who would you say you're music sounds like?
    - i would say our music sound exactly like at least two other bands, such is the nature of the universe... who they are i cannot say... i've never heard the music out of context, as such it could be appallingly bad.. i CAN tell you we sound nothing like you're favorite group... I hope that helps

    b) can you play van halen's erruption?
    - No... well maybe the reggae version

    c) Can we play songs about romancing corpses?
    - of course, but we'll probably wanna start with something closer to home... maybe after a few drinks

I play guitar, have done abit of scrappy recording, have some good ideas and may have something to offer, give us a buzz for a try out jam...?!?

Theoretical style: Nick Cave, Tom Waits, The Smiths, The Doors, The Arcade Fire.

    Eoghan, 21 , Swords.
