My last two contracts stated I can be asked to move with 4 weeks written notice. No entitlement to compensation.

Company moved to Cork from Dublin so I left.

No, there's nothing that says you're entitled to "disturbance money" if the business changes address.

Some contracts may say "Your place of work is X, and other company premises as may be required from time to time". If so, then the company would have to negotiate a new contract with you where you could ask for more money.

As micmlo says, there may also be a clause under the "place of work" heading allowing the employer to change your place of work with a certain amount of notice.

Outside of that, you get zilch.

Slightly related question. If your employer did away with your dept and hence your job are you entitled to redundancy or would you have to accept reassignment with the company if they offered?
