Has anyone had experience of these bikes variously titled gy200 with names like bashan rocketa bts etc and using engines copied from the old Honda XR200?Are they imported into Ireland?.From my research on the internet the ones using Lifan(licensed from Honda supposedly)engines are quite good.I already have two genuine Hondas but at the prices theyre being offered at in the UK I,m tempted!

There was a dealer at the Belfast bike show selling these a year ago, I haven't noticed any down here though, I'll ask a few people.

I seriously considered getting one, and even found a guy in Mullingar who bought one on eBay, and he said it was sound for the money (GBP£499). For that money you'd only get a shed anyway, so you can't go far wrong. I saw them for sale in Galway for Eur1450.

In the end I bought a minter DR200 on eBay because no-one like the crappy colour........I was the only bidder. And it was cheap too !

I have a Chinese quad for the kids and it's fine. Paint isn't the greatest though.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

It will be fine unless you need any kind of parts. Even levers and tubes can be nigh on impossible to get. So it may be cheap, but may turn out to be disposable.
