    Hi lads/ladies,
Apologies if this topic has been brought up before (but im new to boards!) Does anyone know if TV Guide is available to users in Ireland for Media Centre 2005 yet? Anyone any other feedback on it? Waiting for my new system to be delivered and just querying it, thanks lads,
    Kev.

It is indeed, I use it with NTL digital. It is a very good system.

Any specific questions, ask away. A few of us on here use it.

And of course, welcome to boards :)

Excellent stuff, great to hear. I assume its available for non-digital chorus users as well...ah ill be going digital soon enough anyway. Thanks for the extremely quick and helpful response spartacus, much appreciated.

Im sure ill have more queries once i get it up and running!:D

Oh ya actually, has anyone used Musicmatch with it, prefer it to Media Player.

How do you mean Music match with it? To play music? Media Centre kina looks after all of that thru its own interface, not media player.

(im bad at explaining things!) XP Media Centre is basically windows XP with a Media Centre program. So when you boot up, it will initally appear the exact same as windows XP, and of course you can install musicmatch.

However when you launch media centre, a full screen application comes up and your music will be sorted like so http://www.winsupersite.com/images/reviews/xpmce_review_26.gif .

Anyway, yes it will work for non digital chorus. What TV card did you get? Did you buy the remote. Basically when you get set up first it will list all the channels available in Ireland, and then you tell it the ones you can get (on Chorus!)

    You're most welcome, ask away

EDIT: That picture is from an old version of MCE, 2005 looks a bit better

The TV guide is configurable if it doesn't know what service your on you just get a big list of channels available in Ireland and you can add/remove the ones you don't want/have from the list and assign them to the same channel layout as on Chorus.

One thing to be aware off is you do need the MCE remote for this to work as it comes with an IR interceptor that you place just beneath the IR receiver on your set top box this allows you to use the MCE remote to control the Chorus set top box.

FYI I have Chorus Digital and MCE is working fine with it + guide too.
