stingy ladbrokes

It comes as no surprise to me that ladbrokes are only paying on 4 places in the irish national.
What an uncompetitive and mean lot they are.
Paddy and boyles pay 5 places.
Ever notice also how much shorter ladbrokes premiership odds are on the weekend compared to boyles and paddys?
Anyone fancy stevens for the snooker?
He's 16s with paddy and considering that he's in the opposite half of the draw to higgins, williams, hendry and ronnie, i think that's real value considering his record there.
Likewise, although being 6-3 down, higgins is out to 8s with paddy,
If he turns it around in the next session, that'll look a very nice price indeed.
Worth the risk in my opinion. Maybe to back him with betfair in the hope he'll progress then lay him after at half the odds.
    Good luck

I work in Ladbrokes and It wasnt very pleasing to tell customers that we weren't paying on the 5th for the english Grand National. Joe Lewins is a eejit! If they payed out on the 5th I'd say they'd make more.

I was amazed that NO bookies were open today.... Not in my area anyway.

I know everyone needs some time off for easter, but I had picked out Justified for the big one. I was not near the PC as I was in town all day. On my way home I stopped off, with €20 in my hand, to place on Justified, only to find both bookmakers in the town closed.

I later find out that he won at 5/1 :(

I was going to say I'ld back Higgins but just checked and hes 9-4 down. Im amazed.
Probably another bad bet from me but I'm having a small one on Doherty e/w. He has the easier side of the draw.

Its really messed up! Paddys get a lot of customers yet we still do pretty well I'd say. (In Athenry) The customers must have been put off by no 5th place as they saw it from the english grand nationlal. Ladbrokes is either a sly company or stupid for that!

No bookies are allowed open on Easter Friday, Sunday and Christmas Day due to
    the Betting Act, 1931.

Same as. I backed him online though, along with Vic Venturi and Royal County Star who ran a good race but finished second. If it wasn't for my online accounts I would have been raging, some really good racing yesterday.

Customer service told us to refund anyones bet if they wanted it before the race went off.

Ladbrokes are absolute muck for football prices, but I do find their early prices for racing are usually better than Boyles.

Today we still did a fair bit despite Boyles next door doing far better as usual, if Ladbrokes want to be stupid about settlements (although they were following the rules of racing by paying out on the first 4) then it's their own fault. They are a shower of stingy bastards at the end of the day.

Makes my job easier when nobody is in the shop though. ;)

I wouldn't go near Ladbrokes, crowd of misers. PP or Boyles for me. Better value, specials and nicer staff.

Ladbrokes and William Hill enjoy such a dominant postition in the UK betting industry that they have see no need to offer special offers to punters. Until such time as some major competition comes along this is unlikely to chance.

Grand don't go near Ladbrokes because of its crap value, bad specials but we are nice staff so please never ever be ignorant towards our customer services. Thank you.

One thing I will say about Ladbrokes....

They may offer as many specials as a funeral home, and their prices may be the worst in town...but...you can't argue with their withdrawal service. I have the option of bring my credit card into the shop, swiping it, and withdrawing money from my account just like a bank. (in saying that, I do have to strategically pick the time of the day when I go in because many times they won't have any money...hmm)

Also, it's pretty much because of ladbrokes that the bookies are staying open til 9:30, even when it's only american racing to cover. Fair play to the bookies that close up at a social hour. Could you imagine being seen in a bookies at 8 O Clock on a tuesday night holding that docket with you steepledowns and Philadelphia double....

    Give me a break....

I'm leaving at the end of the summer. Just wanna earn a bit for college and get the feck outa der! I need a outdoor job I think. Something that only requires me workin a few hours on the weekend. i will be free of Paul always giving me €1 e/w bets on the virtual or other old lads coming in with 20c yankee'. Aaaaaaaargh I hate the bets but the customers can have a heart of gold and give ya a great laugh. Ah well.

I don't mind working tonight. No racing and AC Milan v Barcelona on ITV. I know what I'll be doing.

How do you know what every ladbrokes employee in the country is like? I'm speaking from my own experiences. As for me being ignorant towards them...where are you deducing this from?

I think my point has been proven regarding Ladbrokes staff if you're anything to go by.
