Why not just book it online now? Showing GBP101.47 for first Ryanair flight from Manchester to Dublin tomorrow or about £30 cheaper tomorrow evening.

If you mean hoping to get a cheaper seat at the last minute then no it doesn't work like than, if you're airline/travel agent staff etc. etc. then 'standby' tickets are an option but not to the general public.

Go by sea. If you have a car get to Holyhead for 8.55 Stena to DunLaoghaire or 9.50 Irish Ferries to Dublin Port. Foot passenger fares are around £18 each way.

By train the earliest ferry on sundays is 13.45 to DunLaoghaire or 15.15 to Dublin Port. To get to either of those would require leaving Manchester at 9.58 or Liverpool at 10.28.
Train/Ferry combined ticket from Manchester/Liverpool region is £20 each way
