I have an event and advertising space and want to sell it to advertisers/sponsors, how do I go about working out how much it is worth? Is there any kind of a formula or is it simply based on what you can get? Should I go directly to potentiol advertisers or approach agencies?

Much more information is needed to answer your question. But no formula's that I know of ..... the basic principles are:
    1) supply and demand
    2) exposure duration
    3) target group

So in short ... how many potential clients are there for you?? What will they get and who will you target??

it all depends on what type of advertising it is and what type of clients would be interested in it.also how many people will be at the event or will watch the event
