Would like to understand the best place to purchase alloy wheels (probably Revolution or Minilite) for a Scimitar in Ireland (north or south).
I understand that they might be difficult to get hold of but Iwould like to try.
Conversely if anyone has 6j x 14 Wolfrace wheels that might fit a Scimitar I would be interested in discussing possible purchase.
    Thanks
    Spitfire;)

I think triumph wheels fit as well, you can get fully refurbished wolfies from renowheel in the UK. Another good bet is in Slice the RSSOC club mag or on the yahoogroups forum. I got a set of cobras off ebay for mine and got John Flynn car transport to bring them over.Keep trawling ebay and a set will come up eventually.
Go on and Post a pic of yer scim ye good thing!!!

    Shagman,
Thanks for that. I it the bullet and ordered a set of 5 spoke revolutions from the UK. Expect to have them early next month. Now I have to decide what size and make of tyres to fit but I'll to the Scimitar boys on Yahoo on that one.
Picture is on the way. Currently residing in wife's camera. need to get it uploaded which I'll do over the weekend.
Car is away having the roof painted for teh Webasto fitment at the end of this month so all going ye'll see it live in early June. I'll give you a shoput and we can meet to discuss all things Scimitar.
BTW have you still got your spares car ???
What steering wheel is on it and in what condition??

    Regards,
    Spitfire:D

I've still got the spares car but might have a buyer for it.It had a mountney wooden wheel on it when I got it so I took that for my own car it looks nicer is a smaller diameter which I find works better but has got a good few cracks in the wood.Spares car now has original scimitar wheel.I bought a webasto roof off the guy in Robertstown who advertises on ebay ireland and have it fitted now. Must get polishing them wheels now,and getting the overdrive working again and rebuild the engine in the chevy and .. and ....and...........

Nice!! The paintwork looks to be in very good condition no stress cracks like mine. The wheels you have on it will polish up to near chrome finish with the right tools/labour. Surely these are wolfraces as you requested in your first post????
Do you just prefer the look of revolutions ? I must admit they look very "track car".

    Shagman,
Just finished getting the Webasto fitted and will hopefully be on the road in the week or so once the roof paintwork is completed and the wheels are delivered and fitted.
I tried to get more Wolfies as I only have 4 and wanted another for spares but the cost was going to be prohibitive once I 'd got the wheels properly polished so I took the decision to get the Revolutions (always wanted them anyway!!). Not a 'standard' wheel for the car but at least they are period.
Paintwork looks good in the picture but up close it has lots of blemishes but that can be sorted over time.
2 more important issues are sorting out the broken fibreglass battery box and getting the engine tuned correctly.
Have you sold your spares car yet. If not I'm looking for a drivers door armrest/pull handle in beige if there is one on it.
