Wifi VOIP Phone

I haven't tried one yet but I would think that an ATA with a good DECT cordless phone might be a better setup unless you're actually looking to take the wireless VoIP handset with you and connect to different networks in different locations.

The f1000g (the replacment for the f1000) works well, the quality is good, the battery life is poor tough, and you need good wifi coverage across the board. Unless you have a special need like multiple sites (or you have a good wifi infrastructure in place) a dect phone will suit you better.

I remember about 6 months ago Aaron from Blueface said that wi-fi phones were still quite disappointing. Not sure if they've moved on since.

At home I use a DECT phone into my ATA and it's fine. A colleague uses a Linksys wireless phone for his skype (like a dect jobby) and its fine. At work we recently bought a few Cisco7920g wifi phones and they're fine as well.

Got my F1000G today - tried to connect to Voipbuster but no joy. It is connecting to my router but cannot register. There are more than usual sip settings - anyone familiar with the correct settings? Would appreciate a little help!
