A mate of ime got a thermaltake powerstation 520 watt,it has 24(20) pins which goes onto motherboard (20pins Abit IC7-G).Problem is continuous power to motherboard when turned off plus case inst running and blue led from Psu is still on.When turning on Pc everything works fine except case fan and dvd player doesnt work(no power). Also northbridge fan stays on while Pc is off...

Anyone any comments on my friends problem.....Would he need a 24 atx power cable to 20 pin connector to solve this problem

    A convertor won't make a difference.

A few PSU's keep on running for 5-10 minutes after the PC has turned off to get rid of any remaining warm air.

Are the case fan and dvd player connected properly? If they are, then the PSU is faulty, otherwise, it sounds like a motherboard issue.
