5star Gaming problem :P

    Hello, Im in 5star net cafe on talbot st now, nice place but the games are a mess :( they have a great selection but not alot seem to work well, css or bf2 mainly. In cs i cannot join a server as it claims that servers are using protocol 7, and this comp is using something older, In bf2 i simply cannot join a server as it reverts back the server list once anything is clicked:confused: Can anyone who has been here before or who knows how to solve either of these problems please lend me a hand? Armies in generals keep blowing up aswell, help please:(

    I don't play CS or BF2 but a quick Google search revealed that they are "possibly" using a cracked version of CS as the server protocol 7 error message relates to the fact that the CS client has not been updated automatically by steam to support the newer servers so you can only play on cracked servers that support the older protocol.

    As for the BF2 problems "if" they are using a pirated copy of CS then I would suspect the same issue in BF2 is that its also a warez version which is why you are not allowed connect to the official servers.

    If that were the case though they'd have had thousands of complaints....!

    Ask one of the staff, that seems fairly logical to me. And just don't ever return if they aren't able to explain, fix or refund. :)

    thanks alot for the help guys. ill ask the staff, but I sometimes doubt their grasp of english:p sucks when cafes use cracked software
