Im working in a company in Boston with very high IT security, I talk to my girlfriend at home in Cork most days on MSN and i bought a webcam the other day. It works fine on my own pc talking to her from my apartment etc. and i was talking to my parents on it the other day from my work laptop in work across the network where i work, and it was fine.

but now MSN won't let me use the webcam at all.it just won't connect to any other users at home. MSN works fine, just not the webcam.
I know its prob the firewall and proxies where i work blocking it,but i was just wondering since it worked once then is there anyway i could get it working again or is there any other webcam conferencing s/ware i could use. I already tried netmeeting but i dont know what address to dial to connect to Ireland,my g/f's IP address wudnt connect

    cheers

I'm going guess and say that if your firewall blocks MSN webcam usage it will prob block yahoo webcam too.

If it is being blocked by your network policy in work prob, lil you can do to get past it. You could ask network admins if they will open ports for cam but I doubt they'd do that. And any "hacking" of the firewall might get you in a lot of trouble.
