Guitarist Wanted (Cork area)

Hi, Im lookin for someone who plays electric guitar between the ages 17 and 24 and has a good grasp of harmony(don't let that scare you away though!). Influences include Muse, Rachmaninov, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Jeff Buckley, Air and ocasionally a bit of Rage against the machine and System of a down style riffs.
Im interested in mixing Classical, Rock(a touch of metal here and there too) and chillout music, I play piano and guitar, there is also a bassist and drummer joined but we need help finishing songs so song writing skills would be a huge bonus. We have a jam room 10 minutes walk from the city centre and recording equipment available to us.
We are open to any style of music, hopefully we can find some kind of middlegroud between all our influences.

Well seeing as you bumped...

I'm in cork (the lough), and I *own* an electric guitar (though mainly I play acoustic), but... I'm like, 29 so older than you're looking for. I like to think I can sing well but it's mainly volume and passion rather than subtlety, and trying to sing harmony usually throws me out...

I'm into blues and rock (Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, Ten years after... older people like BB King, Muddy Waters, Elmore James... ), though more recently I'm more into acoustic types (Clive Barnes, Jeff Lang, Erin Mckeown).

I'm playing on and off for about 11 years, but nothing like Rachmaninov! I've no classical training at all, though I do know a bit of music theory.

If you want to have a jam anyway sure we could always try it out. My electric is a fender tele, through a 50 watt peavey valve amp. I have my own transport.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I'll get back to you when I know the drummer is free. I've no classical training either, I've been trying some composition for the past two years but its really only my solo stuff the classical influence comes out.

if ur looking for a singer i may be interested in trying out know a bit of muse myself i like the idea with the piano thats good im sure you ll have good tunes to produce.

Hi j5bravo_ie a singer would be great provided you have musical talent, song writing skill are essential and it'd be great if you could do harmonies( a background in babershop would be handy )
