I have uploaded all my cds on to my pc and have my complete library there on i tunes.
I have now bought a brand spanking new laptop, I am giving the pc to a friend and wonder is there any (easy) way to get my music library from my pc to the laptop. I have a 1gig data/memory stick if this helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciared.

You need a cross over cable to connect between the two PCS, it would be the quickest way to get infor from one machine to another. Not sure how much a cross over cable costs nowadays havent had to buy one for yrs. Once ur get the cross over cable its fairly easy after that.

If you had a DVD Burner would could burn it on to a DVD(s), It could take quite a while to transfer a few gigs of music using a usb key...

BTW - How much music do you have?

How much music do you have on your PC? If it's your entire CD collection, it may take a while using your data stick.

If your PC & laptop have Ethernet ports, you could get a cross over cable in Peats or another shop and transfer the data that way (they're fairly cheap, and you only need a few metres).

Do you or your friend have (or know someone willing to give you a lend of) a HDD based MP3 player. A portable HDD would suit also.
