Was thinking of heading to Egypt for about 10 days hoping to take in some sites eg Pyramids as well as do a scuba diving course such as the Open Water Course. Where is the best and most accessible place to learn to scuba dive? I was thinking of Dahab but it look like a long distance from Ciaro. Also would you advise me to book my scuba course before i leave ar organise it when i get there. Thanks for any help.:)

Dahab is pretty cool place. You can definitly organise the diving there. There lots of good dive centres.
Just have a good look around and talk with the instructor and check out the gear before signing up.
It's true its a fair trek from Cairo, but I think you can fly to Sharam el sheikh if that doesnt blow your budget.
Worst case scenario you might spend a day in transit between cairo and dahab.
The dive course should take no more than 5 days.
Another option is to fly into Cairo and out of Amman and take in Jordan while youre there, but if you only have 10 days aybe not an option.
If you have time do check out luxor in the south.....as impressive as the pyramids IMO.
