iAudio x5 question ["screensaver"]

So I notice that while I'm listening to my x5, the screen goes blank after a short period of time. The music keeps playing, so it's fine (and I assume normal) but how do I get the screen to come back with affecting playback. Moving the joystick does it, but I'd rather not skip forward or back in songs, or change the volume.

I can't see anything in the manual about it.

The screen going blank is normal and, frankly, a good thing. There is a section in the menus where you can lengthen the delay before the screen dims or goes blank but as regards getting it back without affecting playback - I don't think there is a way, unfortunately.

When I had an X5, I got the screen back by pushing the joystick down and then back up. Yeah, it momentarily adjusts the volume but I didn't think that was much of a big deal.

Yeah, same here. I just turn up or down the volume to view whatever on screen.

How you getting on with the A2 Bard? New firmware out in the last couple of weeks with further improvements. I hear too that GPS navigation is on the horizon for it too, dont know yet if it will be an add on to the existing player or a new model altogether - top secret seemingly at the moment! (as are all the new players from Cowon for the next few months)...look out for an 8GB flash player though in the near future

You can flick the screen ON and OFF by "quickly" sliding the power on/off switch. It wont affect playback at all. Hope that helps.
